Evaluation
In todays session I went out with the intention of shooting litter but largely focusing on the different angles which I took the shots but also the backgrounds. At first it was hard to come across litter but as I continued on the walk I discovered a location where there were many incidences of litter. I made an effort to try and take the photos at different angles which I felt were the best for the photo, for example, angles which showed depth. There was a lot of light when taking the photos which initiated shadows in some of the pictures but also added to the idea of form.
My favourite photo I chose to edit from the shoot is this one of a can. I like how the can is in the centre of the photo and that you can see the location throughout the image. The can is in focus and so is the ground in the foreground but moving in towards the background, it becomes less focussed. On the can there is a significant amount of light on one side which conveys form and the angle it is taken at portrays depth.
This is another photo from the shoot and is of a bottle lid. I like how the lid is slightly to the left of the frame and like the fact that there is a dark shadow of the lid which shows evidence of light. The background of the photograph does not really give a sense of location which was one of my aims for the session. However, the background shows colour and texture.
Progression
From todays session I have managed to take a range of photos which have used different angles in order to demonstrate effective photographs of evidence of human presence shown by litter. I would like to continue looking at litter and having the backgrounds as a main focus so in order to do this I will use the same object in different locations. For example an empty bottle with buildings in the background or against a bench. Alongside this I will continue to use different angles to explore what angle makes a good photograph overall.
