Work Diary- Shoot 3

Evaluation
In this lesson, I set out to take photographs of different buildings which showed age. I had initially thought that I would go out and photograph abandoned buildings but when going out photographing it was a bit more difficult to find abandoned buildings than I had hoped. However, I adapted the photographs I took throughout the session to the items available, for example, a building which was closed shown by photographing the closed shutters. Throughout the shoot I found certain things which would be associated with human presence, such as tracks and litter.
I feel that this photograph taken from the shoot shows evidence of age and neglect. I like how the rust and the padlock contrast with the lighter background. Also the angle at which it is taken at shows the idea of depth. Overall I feel that this photo does show the idea of evidence.

Although I did not intend on focusing on human presence, I saw took this photo and really liked the angle it is taken at and how the litter is the only thing which is in focus. From this photo it has inspired me to look further into the idea of human presence.

Progression
From this shoot I found that it was quite difficult to discover neglected and abandoned buildings within the available locations and therefore was unable to capture buildings but items associated with neglect. Also on the shoot I took a few photos which can be associated with human presence, I particularly like the photo of the rubbish on the ground. Because of this I would like to focus on human presence in my next shoot by mainly looking at litter and other items associated with human presence.
